Security Integrated
In conjunction with STEP 7 (TIA Portal), each CPU offers password-based know-how
protection against unauthorized reading out or modification of the program blocks.
The copy protection provides reliable protection against unauthorized reproduction of
program blocks. With copy protection, individual blocks on the SIMATIC memory card are
linked to its serial number so that the block can only be executed if the configured memory
card is inserted in the CPU.
